Wax on, Wax off.

Mr. Miyagi, Daniel Larusso

The Karate Kid is so quintessentially 80's to me. As a grade school kid I had a great time watching it. How could you not love Pat Morita? And I fondly remember that Glory of Love song by Peter Cetera.

It will be interesting to see what they do with this new Karate Kid featuring Jackie Chan and "Will Smith Jr".

  1. Dean, may I just say once again that you rule?

The first two films in the original series were my favorites...

The new version looks interesting, but I may wait for it to come out on DVD. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't be happy to spend the $10 on it I could have spent on something else.

  2. Thanks Mizti. Yeah, I think I'm willing to wait for the DVD myself on this one, going to the theater is expensive enough.

  6. Hello, I am from Brazil and I really apreciatte your work. One suggestion: you should create the Rocky Balboa Version!

  7. I love The Karate Kid. I am so annoyed that it's being remade! I also love "Glory of Love," so thanks for sharing the video. I just wish they had left out Peter Cetera's awkward dance moves. That just made the video cheesy.
